Kids MMA Program
Our Kids MMA Program is designed to help young athletes build strong foundations in martial arts while developing confidence, discipline, and resilience in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. This program focuses on skill development first, ensuring every child learns correct technique, movement, and control before progressing.
Skill Development–Focused Training
Kids MMA at our gym is not about aggression or fighting — it’s about learning how to move well, think clearly, and train safely. Classes are structured to develop:
- Fundamental striking and movement skills
- Basic grappling and control concepts
- Balance, coordination, and body awareness
- Listening skills and following instruction
- Confidence through achievable challenges
Every class is age-appropriate and carefully planned to match the child’s experience and ability level.
Our Kids MMA Program is designed to link directly with and run parallel to our Junior Jiu-Jitsu program. This allows students to:
- Apply grappling skills learned in Jiu-Jitsu within an MMA context
- Develop well-rounded martial arts ability
- Progress smoothly between programs without overlap or confusion
Families who choose to enrol their child in both Kids MMA and Junior Jiu-Jitsu gain access to up to 6 days of training per week, providing excellent consistency, routine, and skill development.
Values We Teach Through MMA
Our Kids MMA Program helps children develop important life skills that extend beyond the mats, including:
- Respect for coaches, training partners, and themselves
- Discipline through routine and structured learning
- Confidence built through skill mastery
- Resilience by learning to try again after challenges
- Teamwork and positive social interaction
These values are reinforced in every class and align closely with the principles taught in our Junior Jiu-Jitsu program.
We strongly recommend that children begin in our Junior Jiu-Jitsu program before transitioning into MMA. Jiu-Jitsu teaches vital fundamentals such as balance, control, positional awareness, and safe movement, which helps children enter MMA classes with greater confidence, understanding, and safety.
